Introduction

Rev Dr Ann Allison

Ann was born in Paisley in 1952 and attended Lochfield Primary school before going on to Paisley Grammar School. She studied Chemistry and Agricultural Chemistry at Glasgow University and gained a BSc Her first place of work was Oatridge Agricultural College moving after 2 years to Glasgow University Vet School Animal Husbandry Department. She is married to Jim. Ann returned to study gaining a PhD from Glasgow in Chemistry. Following this she went to work for Scotbeef Meat Processors and then onto the Scottish Milk Marketing Board. She then took a career break to bring up her children, Linda and David.
During her career break she was very involved with church work local Christian Aid organiser, contract volunteer with them, Presbytery Sunday School Adviser, Elder.
She returned to her old Alma Mater for the third time and graduated BD. Her probationary period was spent at Paisley Abbey. From there she was called to St Andrews Erskine Church in Dunfermline in 2000 where they opened a new build in 2004 and in 2011 she was called as Minister of the linked parishes of Crail and Kingsbarns.
