St Andrews Presbytery

Introduction

Jim Connolly comes from Glasgow and was ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament in 1982. He has been the Minister of Balmerino linked with Wormit Parish Church of Scotland since November 2004.
He is married to Janice and they have three grown up children and two grandchildren.
Before coming into the Ministry he worked in digital electronics (computing) and journalism.

He commenced his theological training in what was then the Bible Training Institute (Glasgow), now the International Christian College. Here he achieved his DipTh from both BTI and Cambridge University, St John's College.

He has also studied Pastoral Theology at Edinburgh University gaining his Cert. Min. and has a Masters degree in Theology from Manchester University.

Jim is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry Degree, his thesis on 'Christian Marriage Formation' is soon to be completed, with Aberdeen University and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

He worked with the Free Methodist Church in Lancashire for over twenty years in new church planting in Lancashire (Lancaster, Leyland and Kirkham) and fresh expressions of Church throughout the Fylde.
